Hamburger Soup

Ingredients

• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 medium onion chopped
• 1 (16 o.z.) can whole tomatoes
• undrained
• 4 cups water
• 2 beef flavor bouillon cubes
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 to 1 teaspoon pepper
• 1 bay leaf
• 3/4 cup sliced celery
• 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
• 1 (10 o.z.) package frozen mixed
• vegetables
• 1 cup medium egg noodles, uncooke
• 1/2 teaspoon dried whole thyme

Directions

• Cook ground beef adn onion over medium heat until browned. Drain on
• paper towels; discard pan drippings. Add next 8 ingredients; bring
• to a boil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add vegetables,
• noodles, and thyme. Bring to a boil; simmer, uncovered, about 20
• minutes, stirring occasionally.
• Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
