Swiss Steak

Ingredients

• 2 lb round or flank steak
• 1/4 Cup flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper
• 2 Tablespoons fat
• 1 Cup hot water, or tomato juice
• 1 Onion Sliced

Directions

• Pound flour and seasonings into steak with steak hammer or edge of
• heavy plate.
• Melt fat in skillet.
• Brown meat on both sides over medium heat.
• Add water or tomato juice and onion.
• Cover and place in electric oven to cook at 350 degrees for 1
• hour.
