Chicken Surprise

Ingredients

• 2 med onions, diced
• 3 tbs butter or margarine
• 1/4 cup diced green pepper
• 1/4 cup diced celery
• 1 cup diced cooked chicken
• 1 cup uncooked rice
• 1 small can peas, with liquid
• 1 cups water, chicken broth or
• 2 bouillon cubes
• 2 tbs soy sauce
• 1 can cream of celery

Directions

• Brown onion in butter or margarine.
• Add green pepper and celery; brown slightly.
• Combine with chicken, rice, peas and water, broth or bouillon.
• Stir in soy sauce and soup.
• Place in greased casserole and bake covered in preheated oven at
• 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
• Be sure to cook this dish in a covered casserole, otherwise it
• may become too dry. If it should, add more moisture. Serve with
• sliced tomato salad and chocolate sundae or desert.
