Spanish Style Chicken

Ingredients

• 8 Whole Chicken Legs
• 2 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 2 tbs vegetable oil
• 2 Lge onion chopped (2 cups)
• 2 clove garlic
• 2 can tomato sauce
• 1/2 cup chicken broth
• 1 tsp dried thyme

Directions

• Sprinkle chicken legs with 1 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp black pepper.
• Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken; brown,
• about 4 minues per side. Transfer to paper towel to drain.
• Reduce heat to medium. Add onion and garlic; saute until almost
• tender, 1 to 2 minutes.
• Return chicken to skillet along with tomato sauce, broth, thyme and
• remaining salt and pepper. Cover; about 10 to 15 minutes or until no
• longer pink near bone and internal temperature registera 170 degrees
• on instant -read thermometer.
